CLEVELAND, OH--(Marketwired - August 17, 2016) - Barrette Outdoor Living is excited to announce the opening of a 400,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution center located in Galloway, NJ. The new state-of-the-art facility will house Barrette's aluminum and vinyl fence and rail manufacturing operations, as well as the Mid-Atlantic distribution center. Located at 545 Tilton Road in Galloway, the building is the former Lenox China factory.
"Over the last few years we have made significant investments prior to opening Galloway this summer. A majority of that included designing and acquiring the most advanced equipment available that now provides Barrette with increased efficiency, speed and capacity to manufacture our products," said Barrette Outdoor Living President Jean desAutels. "This facility can accommodate all current aluminum product production as well as the fabrication of custom and cantilever gates, a growing portion of our business. We also added custom and made-to-order vinyl fabrication capability," desAutels added.
In addition, Galloway will be the Mid-Atlantic distribution center for Barrette, encompassing over 800,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor inventory. All production coming from Galloway will be distributed via Barrette's own delivery fleet, providing customers a timely and efficient delivery of goods.
The expansion of Barrette Outdoor Living has created close to 250 new jobs in Galloway, including everything from engineers and machinists to plant & office support staff.
