Barrie Starts Close 2010 Higher

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 11, 2011) - Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) released preliminary fourth quarter 2010 new home construction figures for the Barrie Census Metropolitan Area(1) (CMA) today. Builders started 263 homes in the most recent quarter, up from the 180 starts in the fourth quarter of 2009. Single-detached homes represent a significant portion of new construction followed by row homes and apartments. There were four semi-detached starts this quarter.
