Barsa Blocks Spam With St. Bernard's LivePrism

Financial Firm Deploys On-Demand Email Filter to Reduce Junk Mail and Increase Billable Time

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - July 17, 2007) - St. Bernard Software, Inc. (OTCBB: SBSW), a global provider of security appliances and hosted solutions, including secure content management, archiving and collaboration, today announced Barsa, Hara & Company, LLP and Barsa Technology Solutions (Barsa) implemented LivePrism, St. Bernard's managed security service, to eliminate high levels of spam. Barsa consists of a professional accounting firm and a financial business software reseller.

As Barsa generated revenue, portions of the workday spent manually sorting through junk emails negatively affected the bottom line. Since switching its email filtering to the LivePrism hosted service, Barsa has reduced individual spam volume by more than 98 percent. The organization estimates it saves a minimum of $25,000 annually in billable time that was previously spent sifting through heavy volumes of spam.

"We used to receive a high level of unsolicited email, decreasing the amount of billable hours we could take advantage of throughout the day," said Jo Barsa, owner and founder of Barsa. "With LivePrism, we can now solely focus on our customers, while St. Bernard's reliable solution keeps our inboxes clean."

As a hosted service, LivePrism offers Barsa the flexibility it needs in order to protect all employees, whether remote or on-site. LivePrism is managed and delivered over the Internet, removing the burden of time-consuming installations, updates and maintenance. The email filter offers robust, enterprise-level features at an affordable cost, including custom notifications, message routing, quarantines and archiving. Barsa finds the black / white list capability of particular value, as it provides individual users with control over the email they receive. Custom black and white listing also assures that approved email senders are not quarantined, and unsolicited email is never allowed.

"Organizations like Barsa find value in the ease-of-use and affordability that on-demand solutions provide," said Andrew Lochart, vice president of marketing at St. Bernard. "As a managed offering, LivePrism meets the needs of any size organization by eliminating software and hardware installations. All administration is handled through an intuitive Web interface, empowering businesses to easily take control of their email, instant messaging and Internet security."

St. Bernard's LivePrism provides hosted email, instant message (IM) and web-filtering services. LivePrism also includes on-demand office solutions, such as email hosting, collaborative Outlook calendars and contacts, and secure archiving.
