Barter Network Ltd. Celebrates 7 Years on Their Dollar

Attention: Business/Financial Editor, City Editor, Media Editor, News Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 6, 2007) - Canada's largest and fastest growing trade exchange, Barter Network Ltd. (BNL), celebrates its 7th anniversary in honour of their upward success. Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, the Canadian owned and operated company expands their celebration to include their newest office in Montreal, Quebec. Breaking new milestones year after year, BNL now has over 2600 members in three major cities and an annual trade flow of over $50 million and growing.

BNL uses their "Barter Dollar" as an alternative form of currency for businesses, an approach which is increasingly becoming more mainstream. As founder and CEO, Patti Falus, explains "We have numbers, credibility, people, and the strength to bring it to the next level." With an average of 25 new members per month and a demand driven economy, the trade exchange is diverse enough to fulfill the unique demands of large and small businesses alike. "When a business needs marketing & advertising, legal advice, or a new and innovative way of promoting their company, they can use barter". Barter can also be used as an alternative to medical & dental benefits plan. The immense increase in the number of clients and transactions is a telling sign that bartering or trading is a preferred choice.

Now in its 7th year, BNL's high profile partnerships such as, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, Via Rail, Rogers Media, and Sympatico/MSN, are joining distinguished clients such as Classical 96, DMG World Media, Metroland Publishing, and Goodlife Fitness to BNL's growing roster for trade.

One of BNL's latest growths came through its acquisition of Montreal based Comtex Trade Exchange. As a strategic move to develop a 'borderless' trading community within the Ontario/Quebec landscape, the merger allows BNL to extend the value of their existing trade dollar within Toronto and Ottawa into Quebec. BNL's Montreal office is located in the business district of Montreal at 1155 René-Lévesque Boulevard West Suite #2500.

Patti Falus and her partner David Holland are very proud of their accomplishments in the first 7 years; accomplishments which have not gone unnoticed. In 2007 Barter Network reaffirmed its partnership with the Toronto Board of Trade as one of its select "Enterprise Partners". This partnership places Barter Network amongst some of the most elite businesses in Canada. BNL was also recently honored in the category of "Barter and Trade Services" with its unprecedented fourth consecutive Consumers Choice Award for both the Toronto and Ottawa areas.
