Program Management Effort Valued at $3 Million Over the Next Year

MCLEAN, VA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 14, 2006 -- Base Technologies, Inc. has announced the award of a new contract at the Air Force Surgeon General's (AFSG) office to provide program management and technical support for the existing development, deployment and worldwide sustainment (CONUS and OCONUS) of the Integrated Clinical Database (ICDB) to the Assessment Demonstration Center (ADC). Base Technologies is also addressing ICDB's Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) needs by engineering the capture and storage of medical images for use by physicians treating Air Force personnel worldwide. These systems will help the Air Force reduce patient treatment costs while enhancing the quality of care.

"We are pleased to be able to support the Air Force Surgeon General in meeting their mission," said Steve Cardenas, Senior Vice President, Base Technologies. "Base Technologies has been supporting the AFSG needs for the past three years and hopes to continue this role in whatever areas the AFSG requires."

AFSG manages the integration of data from diverse clinical information systems and sustains the leading-edge tools that support local commanders and their staffs in meeting both their unique, MTF-specific missions and MHS strategic goals. The AFSG ADC provides for identification, assessment and reporting of technologies and processes to improve and modernize deployed Air Force medical operations. Furthermore, the ADC provides tools that help healthcare providers to manage the rapidly growing data stores in a manner that improves both their clinical effectiveness and their practice environment.
