BASF Receives 2014 Candidate Experience Award From Talent Board

Second Consecutive Year Company Is Recognized for Delivering an Outstanding Candidate Experience

FLORHAM PARK, NJ--(Marketwired - Oct 7, 2014) - Talent Board, a non-profit organization focused on the elevation and promotion of a positive candidate experience, announced that BASF was one of 62 companies recognized for delivering a high quality candidate experience validated by their candidates surveyed. The winners were named and celebrated at the fourth annual North American Candidate Experience (CandE) Awards Reception, held on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014 at the Hyatt McCormick Place in Chicago.

"We are thrilled and proud to receive the Candidate Experience Award for the second straight year," said Bernadette Palumbo, Director, Talent Acquisition and University Relations. "This recognition validates that the steps we have taken to personalize the hiring process and make it as transparent as possible are resonating with candidates."

In today's highly competitive hiring environment, the ability to provide a transparent and insightful candidate experience is proving to be a significant advantage. The Candidate Experience Program was developed to enable any company to benchmark and improve their candidate experience and facilitate comprehensive surveys conducted by their job candidates. Following an extensive evaluation process, the CandE Awards recognize all companies that meet the standard of candidate experience excellence in 2014.

"An effective candidate management program is more than just getting top talent through the door; it fosters relationships with candidates, creates transparency into the process and communicates in a timely manner, whether they are hired or not," said Elaine Orler, Talent Board co-founder and chairman, and CEO of Talent Function. "The data from the last four years of the program validates that candidate experience has a real impact on the employer brand, and in turn, the company's overall brand, highlighting the need for employers to get it right. The 62 companies selected as winners of the 2014 North American CandE Awards truly show that they understand what it takes to provide a transparent, positive and rewarding candidate experience."

The CandE Award program has grown rapidly since its inception, as more companies recognize the role that candidate experience plays in improving employer brand and enhancing their ability to attract and engage top talent. As a result, participation has grown exponentially with more than 170 companies participating in the program and responses collected from more than 95,000 candidate surveys in 2014. Talent Board shares this aggregate insight to promote positive candidate experience and educate the market on best practices.
