The MassTLC Awards program spotlights the companies, people, and technologies that exemplify the best and the brightest in the Massachusetts technology community.
As a finalist in the cloud computing category, Basho is being recognized for its cloud storage platform Riak CS, a technology that has made a significant impact on the cloud computing market. This recognition follows Basho's recent announcement indicating that Yahoo! JAPAN's subsidiary, IDC Frontier, has committed to using Riak CS in the Japanese market, accelerating the availability of Basho's technology throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Riak CS (Cloud Storage) was introduced in March 2012 and was built to capitalize on the rapidly growing demand for highly-available and efficient cloud storage. The solution allows organizations to power their public and private cloud infrastructure with storage capabilities similar to Amazon S3 while also gaining flexibility and control.

The pool of finalists will be further narrowed over the coming weeks and the winners will be announced on Thursday, September 13, 2012, at the MassTLC Leadership Awards Gala at the Boston Renaissance Waterfront Hotel.
