World's leading ice cream specialty shop kicks off month-long fundraiser with region-wide celebration, special discount and activities for the whole family

Saturday, June 1, 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at participating stores in Toronto and neighbouring communities

CANTON, MA--(Marketwired - June 1, 2013) - Baskin-Robbins, the world's largest chain of ice cream specialty shops, is holding a day of activities and celebrations throughout the GTA and neighbouring cities to celebrate its Cones for the Community campaign in support of SickKids. During the five-hour blitz, from noon to five p.m. on Saturday, June 1, customers can enjoy reduced-priced scoops and participate in fundraising efforts, which will be extended throughout the month of June.

WHAT: Celebration price of 31 cents on 2.5 oz ice cream scoops at more than 70 locations in and around the Toronto area.
Activities for children including face painting, prize wheel and entertainment at select locations
First-scoop ceremony with local dignitaries and SickKids patient ambassador at select locations
WHO: Representatives from Baskin-Robbins and local dignitaries will join SickKids Patient Ambassadors at various locations for a ceremonial first scoop, including a large ceremony at 552 Danforth, Toronto.
