Baton Rouge Conference Focuses on Clean Energy Incubation

Gain Insights Into Incubator and Clean Tech Company Funding

GOLDEN, CO--(Marketwire - May 2, 2011) - Clean Energy Alliance, Inc. (CEA), the national association of clean energy business incubators, and the National Business Incubation Association (NBIA) have teamed to present an exciting conference on clean energy incubation and financing. The Clean Energy/Clean Technology Incubation Workshop and Meeting the Funding Challenge Seminar will take place on May 24-25 in Baton Rouge, LA.

U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., will address participants during the first day of the program. Sen. Landrieu is the chairwoman of the Senate Small Business Committee, and a member of the Senate Appropriations and Energy and Natural Resources committees. She has been the leading voice in Washington for the Gulf Coast recovery effort, and she co-authored the landmark Domenici-Landrieu Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act, which was signed into law in 2006.

Jay Dardenne, who was elected lieutenant governor of Louisiana in November 2010, will make a keynote presentation during lunch on the second day of the program. Mr. Dardenne previously served four years as secretary of state and 15 years in the Louisiana State Senate. During his legislative service, he chaired the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate and Governmental Affairs Committee.

Additional participants from the US Department of Energy and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, along with panels comprising clean energy incubator managers and experienced investment bankers, will provide conference attendees with valuable first-hand insights into issues related to developing and financing such incubation programs as well as the emerging clean tech companies.

Anyone involved in clean energy technology and business development will find this conference invaluable -- not just for the interesting presentations but also for the extensive networking opportunities. If you're thinking about starting a clean-tech incubation program or want to explore funding opportunities for a new or existing clean-tech program or company, NBIA/CEA's Clean Energy/Clean Technology Incubation Workshop and Meeting the Funding Challenge Seminar is the place to be.

This event will be held at the Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge.
