COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwired - September 16, 2015) - Battelle announced today the national rollout of its WayFinder QI Dashboard, an affordable, advanced analytics tool that accelerates hospitals' abilities to track and analyze Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other quality metrics and enables cross-hospital quality improvement (QI) collaboration. The announcement follows a nearly two-year collaboration between non-profit Battelle, the Ohio Hospital Association (OHA) and nine Ohio hospitals to develop and pilot the software.
WayFinder uses advanced statistical models that help hospitals and health systems find the actionable information hidden inside large pools of patient data. With this solution in place, hospitals can better support their quality improvement initiatives with capabilities that enable them to:
- Track recent clinical performance, including adverse events
- Predict scores with a 95% confidence rate
- View quality indicators in detail
- Compare performance with other hospitals and health systems
- Assess actionable data
- Predict how they will fare on CMS' performance based reimbursements
WayFinder is unique among its competitors because it accelerates the time-to-value for hospitals by securing insights from AHRQ quality data quickly, cutting a process that previously took as much as two years down to mere months. By eliminating this "seven-quarter lag," which is the typical timeline for AHRQ reporting, hospitals will have access to fresher QI data, enabling them to better understand what's happening in their systems and make informed decisions more quickly.
