The Battle at Halftime of Super Bowl XLV: Gridiron Goddesses of The Lingerie Bowl vs. Black Eyed Peas

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - February 3, 2011) -  Lingerie Football League officials are excited to announce the return of the annual Super Bowl halftime counter-programming special 'Lingerie Bowl VIII' LIVE on Pay-Per-View at 8pm ET, set to go head-to-head against the Black Eyed Peas performance at halftime of Super Bowl XLV.

The annual Lingerie Bowl broadcast has become a part of Super Bowl Sunday festivities for millions at Super Bowl viewing parties worldwide.

"In simply eight seasons the Lingerie Bowl has developed a cult-like following at halftime. Coupled with our move to Las Vegas, it should make for an incredible atmosphere and broadcast," said Mitchell S. Mortaza, Founder & Chairman of the Lingerie Football League. "I guess we will have to wait and see if viewers prefer another predictable musical act at halftime or the Gridiron Goddesses of the Lingerie Football League who play a fast-paced intense game of football."

Lingerie Bowl VIII will be the culmination of the second season of the Lingerie Football League, the halftime broadcast will feature the 2010 defending champion Los Angeles Temptation (5-0) vs. Philadelphia Passion (5-0). Jay Rood from MGM Resorts International has set the official odds at Las Vegas sportsbooks and have the Los Angeles Temptation listed as a 5.5 point favorite with a 36.5 over/under.
