Bay Area CITD Announces Keynote Speakers for Inaugural Event in San Francisco

The San Francisco Bay Area Center for International Trade Development today announced its line-up of industry, government and academic leaders who will be featured keynote speakers at the Inaugural 'Integrating Global Trade & Logistics and Cybersecurity' conference Nov. 12-14th in San Francisco, around the theme of 'Protecting Intellectual, Digital and Physical Assets' throughout global supply chains. These morning plenary session speakers include:

  • Bindiya Vakil, CEO Resilinc Corp., will share, "How Technology and Economic/ Social Dynamics are Converging to Transform Global Supply Chain Risk Management."
  • Michele Robinson, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), California Information Security Office, opens the second day of plenary sessions.
  • Brian J. Humphrey, Director, Field Operations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) delivers the luncheon keynote address on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015.
  • Dr. Jane LeClair, Chief Operating Officer, National Cybersecurity Institute at Excelsior College, will deliver the luncheon keynote address on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015.
  • Alan Davis, CTPAT Practice Leader, Strategic Solutions Partners opens the pre-Golf Saturday morning session with, "Where the Bad Guys Are and How to Avoid Them!"

Over the course of the two and one half days, event participants will hear best practices and front-line learnings from U.S. Government, Academia and leaders from Fortune 1000 Retailers, Manufacturers, Technology and Logistics Service Providers, gain insight into available resources to strategically protect all aspects of integrated, global supply chains, and meet face-to-face with international delegations, national and SF Bay Area leaders at one of San Francisco's finest venues, the Westin St. Francis on Union Square.

After plenary sessions each morning, registrants will participate in hands-on workshops Thursday and Friday. IGTLC Conference Saturday sessions conclude with an optional scholarship fundraising golf tournament at the renowned TPC Harding Park course, host of the 2020 PGA Championship, and 2025 Presidents Cup. The Golf event is sponsored by the PAKUS Chamber of Commerce and is limited to the first 40 registered IGTLC Conference attendees. A portion of event proceeds will benefit San Mateo County Community College students.
