Invest in Kids hosts 14th annual Battle of the Brains fundraiser

Attention: Assignment Editor, Business/Financial Editor, Education Editor TORONTO, ON--(CCNMatthews - May 1, 2007) - Fifty of Bay Street's top corporations put their trivia knowledge to the test competing for the prestigious Battle of the Brains Cup last month, raising over $350,000 for national charitable organization Invest in Kids. RBC Capital took this year's Cup from defending champions Capital One at the signature fundraising event, now in its fourteenth year.

In addition to an "In the News" themed trivia competition, the evening's events featured a three-course dinner catered by Marigolds & Onions. Pop trio Braided, backed up by Mark Lalama and the Goodfellows, provided musical entertainment for the event, which took place at CBC's Studio 40 on April 19.

Contestants were asked 55 questions spanning 11 categories. Many teams, made up primarily of representatives from Toronto's investment community, are known to have been preparing and practicing for the Battle of the Brains for months.
