Bay Street Rugby Football Club Sets Sights on Continued Growth and Success in 2011!

Bankers, Lawyers and Brokers Prepare to Take the Field for Another Season

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 11, 2011) - Coming off the most successful year in its history, Bay Street RFC is poised to further raise the bar in Toronto rugby, as it kicks off another exciting and entertaining rugby season. Known as the "Pigs", the 2010 Toronto Rugby Union (TRU) 'C' Division Champions are moving to the TRU's vaunted 'B' Division for the 2011 campaign and will compete against the top squads from five other GTA area rugby clubs.

Bay Street RFC continues to grow as a both a rugby organization and a social network and will be fielding a 2nd team for selected matches during the 2011 season. The Club is actively recruiting new members and its unique brand of Champagne Rugby, robust social calendar and limited training schedule make it the ideal alternative for the career-oriented professional.

As Toronto's premier social rugby club, the Pigs are as well known for their eyebrow-raising and pants-dropping off field antics as they are for their competitiveness and sportsmanship on the pitch. The club also takes an active role in the community and is proud of its association with Pants Off for Prostate Cancer, an event that recently raised over $100,000 for prostate cancer research in Canada (www.takeyourpantsoff.ca).

About Bay Street RFC

The Bay Street Rugby Football Club was founded in 2008 as a non-committal rugby club for career-oriented downtown Toronto professionals. Bay Street RFC is comprised primarily of professionals working in the financial and legal industries who, given their work schedules, aren't able to commit to the more formal structure of other local clubs. The Pigs pride themselves on their general lack of formal training sessions, their unique brand of Champagne Rugby, and their active social calendar.
