Bayshore Networks Named a 'Vendor to Watch in 2013' by 451 Research

Bayshore Spotlighted in 451 Research and TheInfoPro's Annual Webinar Broadcast: The State of Information Security in 2013

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Jan 7, 2013) - Bayshore Networks, Inc., the leading provider of internal application firewall technology, today announced it has been named a Vendor to Watch in 2013 by 451 Research. The influential research analyst firm cited Bayshore and its flagship SingleKey Information Assurance Firewall during its annual State of Information Security in 2013 webinar, which featured the release of survey data from TheInfoPro, a service of 451 Research. TheInfoPro study identified key initiatives of senior information security managers and examined market factors and major players. The annual study is based on extensive live interviews with security professionals and primary decision-makers at large and midsize enterprises in North America and Europe.

In her look ahead to Vendors to Watch in 2013, Wendy Nather, Research Director, Security, for 451 Research's Enterprise Security Program, said: "Bayshore is an interesting vendor to watch with its information assurance firewall designed to be pervasive within the enterprise and to be deployed there rather than at the perimeter. As we all know the perimeter is evaporating, and companies using Bayshore can look at controlling intra-application traffic on their networks."

Other vendors to watch included: Intel/McAfee, Mandiant and other innovative companies.

Bayshore's SingleKey™ is a multi-protocol internal application firewall deployed at the data center switch level. SingleKey proactively detects and blocks attacks on internal applications in violation of security rules, protocols and baseline application behavior. Administrators tune SingleKey's adaptive heuristics to continuously profile behavior and deliver real-time anomaly detection. Bayshore technology is developed exclusively in the United States and trusted by top defense contractors, government/critical infrastructure and commercial enterprise organizations.

In November 2012, SC Magazine, a leading information security industry media organization, awarded SingleKey (v5.0) 4 out of 5 stars in its group review of application firewalls.

"These important and recent industry accolades affirm and validate Bayshore's technology, innovation and ability to execute as we head into a promising new year with strong momentum," said Bayshore Networks Founder and CEO Francis Cianfrocca.
