BBI Biofuels Canada: New Technical Bioenergy Conference Announced

REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - March 6, 2008) - BBI Biofuels Canada (BBI), a leading global bio-energy service company, will host the Canadian Renewable Energy Workshop (CREW) March 16 to 18, 2008, at IPSCO Place, Regina, Saskatchewan.

The conference will focus on the sustainable development of commercial scale ethanol and biodiesel production facilities, and provide expertise that specifically targets Canadian challenges and opportunities for the biofuels industry.

40 speakers in two and a half days will cover topics including new crops on the horizon, bioenergy investment opportunities, farming impacts, industry status in Canada, and the future of bioenergy. Expert speakers include: Dr. Mike Ingledew, Ph.D., The Ethanol Technology Institute, Dr. Dave Hickling, Ph.D. The Canola Council of Canada, Dr. Martin Reaney Ph. D. University of Saskatchewan, and Dion McGrath, Executive Director, Policy and Planning with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation.

Ethanol and biodiesel beginner courses begin Sunday March 16, 2008 at 12:00 pm. Introduction to Ethanol and Biodiesel will cover topics of the process and overall steps, different feedstocks, key economic drivers and site issues. Registration is $150.

The conference begins Sunday evening with a reception and Grand Opening of the Trade Show. General Registration is $495.
