BBI Biofuels Canada: Traveling Biodiesel Plant Makes Stop at 2009 CREW

REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - March 2, 2009) - Producers, rural communities and other interested individuals can partake in a unique learning opportunity at the Canadian Renewable Energy Workshop (CREW) from March 10-12, 2009 at the Regina Inn Hotel.

The conference will feature the Canadian International Grains Institute's portable biodiesel plant, a nationally-traveled biodiesel trailer that offers short courses and demonstrations covering all aspects of biodiesel production. The program aims at building awareness for Canadian oilseed-based fuel.

The CREW will focus on the sustainable development of commercial-scale bioenergy production and will provide expertise that specifically targets Canadian challenges and opportunities.

Program highlights include a trade show; a session on Enerkem, GreenField Ethanol, and the City of Edmonton's 100,000 tonne municipal solid waste biofuel project; and a bioenergy review from government representatives from the western provinces.

The conference begins Tuesday, March 10 at 5:30 pm with an opening reception.
