BCD's HDi-250 Captures HD in Multiple Formats From Multiple Sources

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK--(Marketwired - April 06, 2015) - BCD Associates, Inc., a leader in DVD Control Systems, is now shipping the HDi-250 Industrial Video Recorder. Designed to satisfy the requests of corporate and military customers, the HDi-250 features multiple inputs and multiple recording formats.

High Definition video sources include Component (Y,Ry,By) and HDMI up to 1080p as well as composite. Video from Composite sources is simultaneously output through HDMI and Component connectors. Recordings are formatted as MPEG-4, MPEG-2, or MPEG-2 for DVD. Other models will be available with 4K resolution and SDI I/O.

"It is important that we respond to our clients," said Robert Howard, Vice President of Product Development for BCD Associates. "They wanted hard drive recording in multiple formats; they wanted a removable hard drive, and they wanted a slot-load DVD drive. It seems that disc trays can be broken in hostile environments."

Video is recorded the removable 500GB hard drive as an intermediate destination. Files can be copied to the slot-load optical disc as files or as DVD-video discs with either text or animated video menus. LAN remote control is standard using BCD's standard text commands like STOP, PLAY, RECS, etc. RS-232 Serial control is optional.

The HDi-250 implements nearly all the suggestions and requests from customers, and BCD continues to listen.  Recently added are selectable E-E modes and HDMI input with either digital or separate analog audio  It joins other BCD recorders as tools for documenting law enforcement, scientific and military activities.

The HDi-250 occupies 1 rack space and is equipped with a 500GB Hard Drive, Slot-Load DVD +/- RW drive, information display, Composite, Component, HDMI Video I/O, stereo audio, and an RJ-45 jack for network control. MSRP is under $3000.
