BCLC: $6.5 Million 6/49 Win for Soon-To-Be Mother of Six

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 25, 2011) - A Maple Ridge couple expecting their sixth child have won $6,449,260.40 on Lotto 6/49.

Chris and Christina Schultz-Lorentzen matched all six numbers on the October 15 Lotto 6/49 draw to win the jackpot.

"I originally bought the 6/49 ticket hoping to win the $100,000 per year for life," laughed Christina, 33. "It ended up being so much better than that!"

"We've spent the last couple days trying to figure out exactly what to do," added husband Chris, 42. "We shared the news with the kids but they don't really understand."

The two lucky winners say they haven't decided on the long-term plans for the money, but will invest in the family in the short term.

"We need to let it sink in first," added Christina. "I'm looking forward to relaxing with the family on vacation once our newest addition is born."

The winning ticket was purchased at Esso Gas Station on East Hastings St. and Skeena St. in Vancouver.
