BCLC: Qualicum Man Scratches to Win Boat Load

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 16, 2011) - A 51-year-old Qualicum man is "Set For Life" after scratching the instant lotto ticket of the same name.

Philip Lowe was in his car on his lunch break when he scratched to reveal three 'Cash for Life' prize boxes and win the game's top prize of $1,000 a week for 25 years.

"This cash is going to come in pretty handy right now," said Lowe, who has opted for a $675,000 lump sum payment.

"I'm a contractor who works on boat interiors and this will afford me some time off."

Lowe, who purchased his lucky ticket at 7-Eleven on Marine Drive in West Vancouver, is planning to see a financial planner, but already plans to buy a new car.

Set for Life is the instant Scratch & Win game that offers players the chance to win a top prize of $1,000 a week for 25 years.
