BCSC Executive Director's Bulletin: Securities Regulator Alleges Woman Made False or Misleading Statements

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 28, 2011) - The executive director of the British Columbia Securities Commission has issued a notice of hearing alleging that Jo Ann Nuttall made false or misleading statements during an investigation interview.

The notice of hearing says that BCSC staff investigators interviewed Nuttall on Sept. 7, 2010 about her recent trading activities.

The notice alleges that she made false or misleading statements when she did not disclose to investigators that she had made two trades on the morning of the Sept. 7, 2010 interview, and 16 trades on various dates in September and August 2010.

These allegations have not been proven. Counsel for the executive director will apply to set dates for a hearing into the allegations before a panel of commissioners on Feb. 4, 2011.
