BEACONSFIELD, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Aug. 3, 2017) - The City of Beaconsfield is pleased to announce that Tree Canada and its partners, U-Haul and Telus, have offered a $28,000 donation to the municipality to help fight emerald ash borer, a pernicious tree killer. This grant will help Beaconsfield residents protect the ash trees on their private property.
This financial assistance represents 25% of the cost of treating each property. For example, for a 42-cm ash tree, the resident will receive a rebate of approximately $40 from Tree Canada. This financial assistance is open to all property owners who have already treated their ash trees this year and for owners who apply for the treatment with the City before August 13.
For residents who have already had their trees treated, the City already has all the necessary information. Your refund will be automatically issued no later than October 15, 2017 for all ash trees treated this year. For those residents who have not yet had their ash trees treated, please note this grant is only available for the current year...so take advantage!

Deadline to apply for treatment: August 13
To ensure the greatest possible participation of our residents, the City is extending the application deadline for treatment until Sunday, August 13.
The TreeAzin™ insecticide must be applied by certified experts. Residents are strongly encouraged to apply for treatment with the City by completing the online form at beaconsfield.ca, by email at agrile-eab@beaconsfield.ca or by phone at 514-428-4430.
