Beamreach Solar Hires Jonathan Carr as Senior Director of Finance

Carr's Experience in Clean Energy Financing Will Help Beamreach Solar Accelerate Commercialization of Groundbreaking Solar Products

MILPITAS, CA and SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 12, 2016) - (INTERSOLAR NORTH AMERICA) - Beamreach Solar today announced that Jonathan Carr has joined the company as senior director of finance. Carr's extensive experience in solar, energy efficiency and other types of energy industry finance will support Beamreach Solar's future growth as its expands commercialization of its Sprint™ lightweight solar panel system and introduces other groundbreaking solar products in the future.

"With experience managing internal financial operations for a variety of clean energy companies, as well as structuring financing for solar, energy efficiency and energy storage projects, Jonathan is very well-qualified to manage Beamreach Solar's financial operations and provide support to our customers as they seek to finance their solar projects," said Mark Kerstens, CEO of Beamreach Solar. "His financial knowledge will be a major asset to us as we expand our manufacturing, marketing and sales capabilities and bring Sprint and other new solar products to market."

"I have seen first-hand how the technological limitations of existing solar systems have prevented the commercial solar market from growing as fast as it could," said Carr. "I am thrilled to join a company with products that break through these limitations, and make solar power an architecturally feasible and economically attractive choice for commercial customers."

Prior to joining Beamreach Solar, Jonathan served as director of bond operations at Renew Financial, where he managed the closing of PACE bonds for residential renewable energy, energy efficiency, and water efficiency projects. Before Renew Financial, he was a senior underwriting manager and senior financial planning and analysis manager at SunEdison, where he managed financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, built analytic modeling, and conducted merger and acquisition (M&A) valuations. His clean energy industry financial experience also includes director level positions at ENN Mohave Energy LLC and Foresight Renewable Solutions. He holds an M.B.A. from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and a B.A. in International Relations / Economics from the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz.

Beamreach Solar recently named Mark Kerstens CEO, unveiled its new brand and introduced its Sprint™ lightweight photovoltaic (PV) solar panel system for flat commercial roofs. Sprint's light weight allows it to be installed on millions of commercial roofs that cannot currently support heavy conventional solar systems, dramatically expanding the market for commercial solar power systems. In addition, Sprint's high power capacity, ultra-fast install process, and other unique features provide commercial customers with a better return on investment and a lower cost of electricity than conventional solar power systems.

Beamreach Solar will be exhibiting Sprint at Intersolar North America this week at booth 7111. It will also be at Solar Power International (SPI) on September 12-15 and at other trade shows and conferences over the coming months.
