Bearskin Airlines Takes Flight from Montreal to the Region of Waterloo International Airport

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwire - May 2, 2011) - Aéroports de Montréal is pleased to announce the arrival of Bearskin Airlines, an Ontario-based regional carrier effective May 1st, 2011. Thanks to Bearskin Airlines, getting to Waterloo Region is now a whole lot easier. Bearskin Airlines will provide daily service between Aéroports de Montréal and Waterloo Region with five flights each way every business day; three non-stop flights and two one-stop flights via Ottawa; along with a reduced weekend schedule.

Aéroports de Montreal's President and CEO James C. Cherry said: "We are pleased to welcome Bearskin Airlines. We certainly can take pride as this new non-stop service is a benefit for both Kitchener/Waterloo and Greater Montreal business communities. It proves once again the strength of Trudeau-Airport as a strategical platform in Canada."

"The demand for a convenient nonstop service between Montreal and Waterloo Region is clear," commented Harvey Friesen, President of Bearskin Airlines. "We'll save you up to 4 hours on a round trip flight as compared to a flight via Toronto and associated drive to Waterloo Region."

Bearskin Airlines launched service between Waterloo Region and Ottawa in October 2007 and today, provide 56 non-stop flights each week. The Airlines goal is to replicate the same success with Montreal by meeting the needs of the community through participation in Aeroplan with prime morning and evening flights timed for the business community.
