Beau Ballinger Joins Investment Management Consultants Association

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - December 12, 2007) - Beau Ballinger has joined the staff of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) as corporate communications manager. In this role Ballinger will be responsible for enhancing IMCA's internal and external communication processes, building a speakers bureau of investment consultant experts, auditing and maintaining the association's Web site and overseeing the production of IMCA publications and products.

Ballinger previously served as the public relations manager for the Financial Planning Association® (FPA®), where he managed media relations and was responsible for creating public relations tools to enhance the local outreach of FPA's nationwide network of chapters. While at FPA, Ballinger arranged more than 2,000 interviews between FPA members and reporters from all corners of the world.

IMCA was established in 1985 to set the standards and practices for the investment management consulting profession and provide investment consultants with the credentials and tools required to best serve their clients. The cornerstone of IMCA is the Certified Investment Management Analyst(SM) or CIMA® designation, the only advanced designation designed specifically for investment consultants. IMCA serves nearly 7,000 members including more than 5,700 CIMA designees. Conferences and certificate programs in 2007 hosted more than 4,000 attendees.

IMCA also delivers an advanced designation for wealth management professionals, the Chartered Private Wealth Advisor(SM) or CPWA(SM). IMCA's designations are only offered through three of the top business schools in the country, the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley and The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Ballinger was recently elected to the Colorado Public Relations Society of America board of directors and is a member of the American Society of Association Executives. He received a Bachelor of Arts in communication with a specialization in public relations from Michigan State University.
