Beaufield Drills New Molybdenum Gold Target at Opinaca

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 23, 2007) - Beaufield Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BFD) is pleased to announce that drilling of several targets on its Opinaca property which adjoins the Goldcorp Eleonore gold property in north central Quebec is scheduled to begin around April 15, 2007. Three targets will initially be investigated by at least 1500 metres of drilling.

The most important drill target is the Kessel-Ylesia zone which is a newly discovered molybdenum- gold-copper zone. Beaufield's summer program (November 14, 2006 news release) identified molybdenum gold and copper mineralization in a series of quartz veins within a diorite over a distance of 350 metres. Mineralization included a sample grading 6.51g/t gold, 33.6g/t silver, 1.36% copper and 12% molybdenum. A total of 43 rock samples were collected from a network of 0.5 to 1.2m wide quartz veins. The average assay values of 43 rock samples taken were 0.5g/t gold, 5.7 g/t silver, 0.2% copper and 1.1% molybdenum. The Kessel and Ylesia zones will initially be drill tested with 5 holes. Line cutting and geophysics have been completed in preparation for the drilling.

The Vortex zone where earlier drilling returned 20 m of 1.1 g/t gold will be further drill tested as will another target which is on the geological trend that hosts the Roberto gold deposits being drilled by Goldcorp. The Beaufield property is located 6 kilometres east of the Roberto deposit.
