Beaufield Gets Positive Exploration Results in Falconbridge Beaufield Troilus Exploration Program

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 26, 2005) - Beaufield Consolidated Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BFD). The management of Beaufield Consolidated Resources Inc. is pleased to provide the following update for the summer 2005 exploration program of the Falconbridge Beaufield Troilus Quebec exploration agreement. Falconbridge Limited (formerly Noranda Inc, prior to the merger of Noranda Inc. and Falconbridge Limited) is operator of the exploration agreement.

To date, Beaufield has spent $1,498,000 on the $2 million earn-in program.

Earlier drilling discovered a possible extension of the Tortigny base metal deposit, which will be followed-up once a 3D deposit model is completed and assessed.

The summer program involved prospecting 34 targets, all hosting MEGATEM conductor picks located within the Troilus-Frotet greenstone belt, Quebec. Six Besshi-type VMS targets in the Tortigny area and two Troilus-type targets, along the western margin of the greenstone belt have been upgraded by anomalous rock assay and/or basal till geochemistry results.

The most interesting results occur within a 4.5 by 2.5 km area that includes the Tortigny base metal deposit. This area hosts a band of low titanium tholeiite and boninite mafic volcanic rocks believed to have been emplaced in high heat flow rifting environments, important for the formation of massive sulphide deposits. Within this band of rocks four discontinuous showings and / or basal till anomalies have been defined along a trend extending 3.3 km southwest from the Tortigny deposit. The four showings returned the following anomalous assay and/or basal till geochemistry results.

Geoffrey Chinn MSc, P.Geo., from Falconbridge, is the qualified person as defined under NI43-101 for this project.

Assays were performed at ALS Chemex Canada Ltd. Laboratory.

Falconbridge and Beaufield consider these results as very positive exploration results.

A deep penetrating electromagnetic ground survey is being planned to systematically cover Tortigny and the new on-strike showings. This will be combined with a follow-up program consisting of magnetics, geology, prospecting, and trenching intended to identify additional showings in the Tortigny area.

Together these programs are designed to identifying drill targets for a future winter drill program.A drill program of at least 10 holes is planned for 2006. The drill program will be focused on testing targets with both MEGATEM conductors and geochemical anomalies. Beaufield believes this to be an appropriate approach for managing exploration risk in the area.

Falconbridge and Beaufield are encouraged by the discovery of new base metals in the Frotet-Troilus greenstone and believe it to be an important step towards making a significant discovery.
