Beaufield Resources Inc.: High Grade Molybdenum-Gold Showing Discovered on Opinaca Property

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 14, 2006) - Beaufield Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BFD) is pleased to announce the discovery of the Kessel and Ylesia zones, two new showings containing impressive levels of gold, molybdenum, silver and copper mineralization. Both zones are located within Beaufield's Snoopy zone on its Opinaca property in the Eleonore gold discovery area of the James Bay region of Quebec. (See location maps on Beaufield's website (

Rock assays from the Kessel zone returned several high grade values including 6.51g/t gold, 33.6 g/t silver, 1.36% copper and greater than 10% molybdenum. A total of 43 rock samples were collected from a network of parallel quartz veins (0.5-1.2m thick). The average assay values of all samples were 0.50 g/t gold, 5.7 g/t silver, 0.2% copper and 1.1 % molybdenum. These sub-metric to metric veins, outcropping over a length of 350m, are located within a foliated dioritic stock.

In addition to the Kessel zone, a second zone named Ylesia was also discovered within the larger Snoopy area. Located 350m to the south of Kessel, the Ylesia zone returned gold values including 4.28 g/t, 3.19 g/t, 2.07 g/t and 1.87 g/t; and silver values including 28.7 g/t, 22.1 g/t and 19.4 g/t. Also included was one sample which graded 1.23% copper. A total of 18 samples were taken from the Ylesia zone, which graded an average of 1.17 g/t gold and 9.55 g/t silver.

In total, 98 grab samples were gathered on and between the Kessel and the Ylesia zones, which returned average assay values of 0.51 g/t gold, 6.38 g/t silver, 0.6 % molybdenum and 0.2% copper. The nature of the veins suggests that we might be in presence of a Gold-Molybdenum-Silver-Copper porphyry system, associated with a dioritic stock.

The Kessel and Ylesia zones represent an exciting new exploration target on the Company's Opinaca Property. Both zones are located within the Snoopy area, approximately 2.8 km North-East of the Vortex showing (Rusty zone) and 3 km North of the Channel zone, which are key exploration targets for Beaufield.

A 1,150m drilling campaign (3 holes) was recently completed on the Vortex zone and the assay results are pending. Gold assays were performed at ALS Chemex Laboratories in Val d'Or using a standard Fire Assay with AA technique (Au-AA-23) and Inductively Couple Plasma Emission Spectroscopy (ME-ICP-41), on a 30-gram sub-sample.
