Beaufield's OPINACA Property-New Gold Values and Exploration Update Within the Formation Hosting Virginia's Roberto Gold Zone

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 28, 2005) - Beaufield Consolidated Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BFD) is pleased to announce progress on exploration on its 55 sq km Opinaca property in the James Bay region of Quebec up to September 27, 2005.

The statistics are:

Line Cutting: 170km completed.

Geophysics, magnetics: 135km completed.

Rock sampling: 460 samples have been assayed; approximately 75% contain anomalous gold. 22 samples greater than 1g/tonne gold.

Geology and Prospecting: 45km shoreline geology completed; 200km traverses completed. Approximately 17km of sedimentary contact with volcanics mapped.

Geochemistry: 14 km planned (550 samples)

Channel Sampling: 30 channel samples to be completed.

Preliminary results:

The geological mapping has considerably extended the sedimentary stratigraphic horizons on the Beaufield property. This is the formation hosting Virginia's Roberto gold zone. The geological reconnaissance mapping and prospecting to date has covered 25% of the 55 sq km Beaufield property.

Channel zone:

The zone is located within sediments (greywackes) in the north central portion of the property. The Gold values are within quartz pegmatite veins within the greywackes varying in thickness 10cm to 1.5 metres over an exposed length of 75 metres. Parallel veins and the host rock have been sampled and results are pending.

Four samples were taken along the 75 metre exposed portion of the structure with the following results: 5.90 g/t, 9.90 g/t, 8.00 g/t gold plus previously announced 6.02 g/t gold. The previously announced 12.03 g/t gold is located 500m east of the channel zone, a second sample assayed 4.78 g/t.

South Pound zone:

A 6.8 metre channel sample assayed up to 0.464 g/t gold and averaged 0.116 g/t. The geology consists of sheared polymictic conglomerate mixed with greywackes characterized by biotite alteration and disseminated sulphides. Soil geochemistry is planned to cover 1.5 sq km of this structural complex. Channel sampling is underway. It is located 850 m SE of the Channel zone.

Rusty zone:

It is located 1.3 km northwest of the Channel zone.
A gold assay of 4.45g/t hosted within a quartz vein in mafic volcanosediments was obtained. Random sampling of volcanosediments revealed gold values up to 1.12 g/t gold and 3.33% arsenic.

Arsenic zone:

It is located within mafic volcanics 750 m WSW of the Channel zone with anomalous gold values assaying 0.11 and 0.57 g/t gold with 0.28 and 3.29% arsenic.

Snoopy and Woodstock zones:

The zone is 3 km north of the Channel zone. Shoreline mapping identified several extensive quartz veins containing chalcopyrite and molybdenum veins within granitic intrusions and pegmatite dykes. Values of 0.62 and 1.55 g/t gold with anomalous silver and copper values were obtained at one location. Assays are pending for other sites within this system.

Treasure Island zone:

It is located in the southern part of the Opinaca property approximately 8 km south of the Channel zone where previously unmapped sediments are now being mapped. It represents an extensive area of sheared, rusty sedimentary rocks with sheeted quartz pegmatite veins. Sampling is in progress.

Moose Break zone:

The Moose Break zone is located within a pillowed mafic lava unit in the western portion of the property and extends for several kilometers. It is characterized by intense silification and sulphidization and appears to be brecciated. A number of samples were taken. These returned anomalous gold values (approximately 100ppb).

Boundary zone:

This zone is located immediately west of the Beaufield boundary where it appears to cross into the Beaufield property. It is characterized by a wide shear zone of approximately 50 metres width showing moderate to strong chlorite-sericite alteration. The western contact of the shear zone is limited to the west by a sulphide rich zone in contact with a felsic unit. Sampling of this zone is in progress.

The current program will continue until freeze-up which is anticipated by the end of October. The presence of extensive areas of gold mineralization and associated minerals on Beaufield's property is considered highly promising. Beaufield anticipates the current program to lead to a winter drilling campaign.

Alain-Jean Beauregard and Daniel Gaudreault of Geologica Groupe-Conseil are the Qualified Persons (QP) for some of Beaufield's projects and for all maters related to sampling procedures, technical information and the supervision of ongoing exploration work on the Opinaca project. Thus, they can testify to the precision and exactitude of the data and of the mining and geological knowledge of the Opinaca property, as required by National Instrument 43-101 and its annexes with respect to reporting and content of this press release.
