Beaver County, Pa. Licenses State-of-the-Art Government Software From New World Systems

TROY, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 17, 2005 -- New World Systems, a leading provider of enterprise-wide software solutions for the public sector, announced today Beaver County, Pa. signed a contract valued at $1.2 million for New World's services and to license its integrated, browser-based Logos.NET™ Public Administration suite of products on the Microsoft® .Net platform.

Beaver County was using a 10-year-old software solution and felt it was time to upgrade to a system with the latest technology. New World's Logos.NET Financial Management, Human Resources and eSuite solutions will bring the County up-to-date with technology, improve productivity, streamline daily processes, and eventually provide citizens with a self-service portal.

"We looked at several public sector software vendors and New World provided the best demonstration of its software," said County Controller Rick Towcimak, Beaver County, Pa. "It is a browser-based solution, which will make it easy to learn and operate. The County is going through some major changes, so it is imperative the system is user friendly."

Beaver County will soon be responsible for handling the financials, including budgeting and reporting, for Friendship Ridge nursing home, which will increase the County's workflow. "This is the prime opportunity for us to implement a state-of-the-art system to help us streamline our additional tasks and maximize resources," said Towcimak.

The Logos.NET solution provides automated event-alert notifications and workflow technology to signal an employee of a task that needs attention, ensuring projects are completed on time. There is also a "MyReports" feature, which allows a user to store frequently created and viewed reports for easy retrieval.

"We look forward to the software's flexible reporting capabilities," said Deputy Controller Vince LaValle, Beaver County, Pa. "We are required to submit a number of reports to the state and federal government, and Logos.NET will streamline that process and decrease the time it takes to generate the reports. The reporting capabilities will also allow managers to generate customized reports as necessary, without having to contact our department. We look forward to many aspects of the software, especially increasing productivity."

With more than 1,000 government employees, Logos.NET's decentralized environment capabilities provide each department easy access to individual and department time sheets, budgets and real-time information.
