CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - October 11, 2016) - Beazley, a leading provider of specialist fidelity and crime insurance, has appointed Natalie Nelson as a fidelity and crime underwriter in its Chicago office. This appointment adds to the company's growing crime and fidelity team in the US.
Ms Nelson joins Beazley from The Hartford where she was an executive underwriter serving the Central and South regions of the US. Prior to that, she worked for Marsh FINPRO as a management liability insurance broker specializing in crime, fidelity and kidnap and ransom risks.
Beazley's crime insurance policies, and fidelity bonds for financial institutions, protect companies with annual revenues over $50 million in the retail, healthcare, technology and manufacturing industries from the loss of money and securities due to employee theft. Beazley's commercial crime policies also have fraudulent instruction coverage available with limits of up to $250,000 to address losses from the transfer of funds prompted by a criminal purporting to be a vendor, client or authorized employee.
Bill Jennings, Beazley's crime and fidelity underwriting manager, said: "The addition of Natalie increases our ability to work with larger financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies based in the central US. It's important that organizations are protected against the evolving threat of both employee crime and the increasing prevalence of spear-phishing emails that result in illegal funds transfers due to fraudulent instructions."
