Bechtel Recognized as a Top Employer by Minority Engineer Magazine

Company Makes Top 50 Employers List for 8 Consecutive Years

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 21, 2012) - Bechtel has been named a top employer by the readers of Minority Engineer magazine, once again earning a spot on the magazine's annual Top 50 Employers list. The list is based on results of a survey that asked readers for which companies would they most prefer to work or believe are progressive in hiring minority engineers.

This is the eighth consecutive year Bechtel has been on the list.

"Bechtel provides employees with unique career opportunities around the world and we know that a diverse workforce is essential to our success," said John MacDonald, Bechtel's manager of human resources. "We appreciate the recognition from the readers of Minority Engineer magazine, which reflects the inclusive work environment Bechtel employees strive to create for one another."

An employer of choice, Bechtel is frequently recognized for its diversity practices. The readers of Diversity/Careers in Engineering & Information Technology magazine have named Bechtel one of the best diversity companies for the last three years, and Woman Engineer magazine readers selected Bechtel as a Top 50 Employer for the positive working environment for women in 2011.
