Bechtel Signs Enterprise Agreement With Aconex

Leading Global EPC Standardizes on Aconex for All New Projects Worldwide

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 25, 2015) - Aconex Limited (ASX: ACX), provider of a leading cloud collaboration platform for the global construction industry, today announced that it has signed an enterprise agreement with Bechtel, one of the world's largest engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) firms. The three-year agreement will standardize the use of Aconex across all Bechtel business units globally in a phased implementation.

Under the agreement, new Bechtel projects will be implemented on the Aconex platform as part of a multi-year plan to replace Bechtel's internal document and record management system with project-wide collaboration. The terms of the agreement are user-based, providing flexibility for Bechtel to add an unlimited number of platform users to its projects over time.

"Our agreement with Aconex is an example of Bechtel bringing its strategy of innovation and customer focus to all of our internal systems," said Bechtel Chief Information Officer Carol Zierhoffer. "By transitioning to a comprehensive platform that our customers often use themselves, we increase the ability to collaborate throughout project implementation and expand upon the product Bechtel ultimately delivers."

The enterprise agreement includes the Aconex platform for automating key work processes, document management, project communications, and building information modeling (BIM) collaboration, as well as Aconex Mobile construction apps and Aconex Field for safety and quality inspections. Aconex Smart Manuals for handover from construction to operations and Aconex Dynamic Manuals for mobile asset information management are included as options. For more information on these solutions, see http://www.aconex.com/solutions.

Bechtel has used Aconex on individual projects worldwide since 2011. According to Aconex, there are currently more than 2,000 users from Bechtel and its project partners on the platform. They have generated over 4 terabytes of project data while storing and exchanging more than 1.3 million documents, drawings and 3D models.

"This enterprise agreement reflects our growing relationship with Bechtel across a range of global projects," said Aconex CEO Leigh Jasper. "The world's leading EPCs and contractors are increasingly trusting the Aconex platform to manage their largest and most complex developments. The network effects of Bechtel's project partnerships and industry influence are helping us drive new business in multiple regions. The conversion of individual project engagements to enterprise agreements with Bechtel and other EPCs solidifies our relationships while expanding our market penetration and global user network. We look forward to serving increasing numbers of Bechtel projects worldwide under the new agreement."
