Beeline™ Interactive, Inc.'s "Smurfs'™ Village" Enters Its Third Year on the App Store Still Going Strong

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - Dec 18, 2012) - Beeline™ Interactive, Inc., a leading developer and publisher of social smartphone games today celebrates two Smurfy years at the top of the iTunes App Store top-grossing chart thanks to its blockbuster smartphone game, "Smurfs' Village."

"Smurfs'™ Village" launched on November 11, 2010 and quickly jumped to the top of the App Store's Top Free and Top Grossing charts. Two years, one month and 37 updates later the game continues its amazing success. To date, "Smurfs' Village" has appeared as the top grossing app in 80 countries and has remained within the top 75 grossing for 768 consecutive days on the U.S. App Store for both iPhone and iPad.

"We'd like to thank all of our wonderful fans for making 'Smurfs' Village' a massive hit," said Midori Yuasa, CEO, Beeline Interactive, Inc. "As Smurfs fans ourselves it has been a dream to work on this property, and in the coming year we hope to bring out bigger and better updates to delight and entertain our players."

In "Smurfs' Village" players build Smurfs' village from the ground up after an attack from the evil Gargamel. Based on the original cartoon and comic art, players begin the game with only a single mushroom house and a lone plowed plot of land. From there, things quickly progress, allowing players to build specialized houses, elaborate gardens with colorful crops, bridges to span running rivers, trodden paths, and more.

The company recently launched a follow-up title to "Smurfs' Village" dubbed "Smurf Life." In "Smurf Life" players take control of a lone Smurf of their own design. To help combat Gargamel's storm spell Papa Smurf creates a new Smurf, you. Over the course of the game you'll customize your character with clothing and accessories, navigate the streets of the Smurfs' Village and learn valuable trades and skills that you can use to rescue trapped Smurfs.

The "Smurfs' Village" and "Smurf Life" Apps are available for free from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
