Behaviour Interactive Signs Enterprise License Agreement With Unity Technologies

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - April 29, 2013) - Behaviour Interactive, one of the world's largest independent video game studios, announced today that they have signed an Enterprise License agreement with Unity Technologies, provider of the Unity multi-platform engine and development tools, which will make Unity the primary solution for Behaviour's game development on console, mobile, desktop, and the web.

Under this agreement, Behaviour and Unity will work together to ensure that Behaviour's games take full advantage of Unity's efficient production pipeline and rich feature set to produce compelling interactive experiences. The agreement also grants Behaviour access to development tools for all platforms that Unity currently supports.

"We've used Unity extensively in the web and mobile spaces for years. Being able to leverage Unity's production velocity and lightning fast iteration time across more of our projects is helping us push quality and polish to the next level", explained Stephen Mulrooney, Behaviour's Executive Technical Director. "Unity has the gentlest learning curve of any engine I've encountered. Despite that, Unity's team has gone above and beyond the call of duty in making sure our staff knows how to get the most out of their engine and tools", he added.

"Unity is perfect for independent developers who are looking for an intuitive, integrated tool allowing for multiplatform publishing at low cost", said Elliot Solomon, Vice President Videogaming Americas at Unity Technologies. "Behaviour has an accomplished engineering team that has created proprietary engine technology in the past, so their choice to switch to Unity is high praise. This vote of confidence from one of the world's leading independent studios further proofs that our development platform is the perfect ecosystem for rapidly and collaboratively generating visually compelling interactive experiences in a team environment."

Unity is a breakthrough development platform for creating games and other interactive experiences like training simulations and medical and architectural visualizations, on desktop, web, mobile, and console platforms.
