OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 5, 2012) - In partnership with the Central Canada Hockey League, Senators Sports & Entertainment will host the seventh annual CCHL Holiday Showcase from Friday, Dec. 21, to Sunday, Dec. 23, at the Bell Sensplex. The 2012 showcase will mark the third consecutive time the event has been played at the Bell Sensplex and sees each CCHL team play two games at the venue over the course of the weekend. Each game result counts towards the league standings. This year's showcase will also include a third game for two teams (Hawkesbury Hawks and Ottawa Jr. Senators) which will meet in a previously postponed contest.
"The Ottawa Senators are once again delighted to be presenting the CCHL Holiday Showcase this year at the Bell Sensplex," said Senators president Cyril Leeder. "A number of former Senators players, including Shean Donovan, Todd White and Jason York, and current members of the Binghamton Senators, including Mark Borowiecki and Corey Cowick, are graduates of the CCHL. We very much believe the showcase to be a great opportunity for hockey fans to see the stars of tomorrow."
"The Central Canada Hockey League is once again pleased and excited to be partnering with the Senators organization in bringing this event to the Bell Sensplex for the third consecutive year," said CCHL commissioner Kevin Abrams. "The showcase is fast becoming a tradition and represents a great way in which to kick off the holiday season in this region."
Daily and weekend passes are currently on sale and can be purchased at the Bell Sensplex. Due to limited seating, advance purchase is recommended. Fans can receive a $1 rebate with the donation of a non-perishable food item to the Ottawa Food Bank. The Holiday Showcase begins on Friday with a game at 5 p.m. and will conclude with a 6:15 p.m. contest on Sunday afternoon. The Holiday Showcase schedule can be found online at www.bellsensplex.ca.
