Bell Sensplex Reaches Multi-Year Sponsorship Agreement With Mattamy Homes

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 12, 2008) - The Bell Sensplex is pleased to announce that a multi-year deal has been reached with Mattamy Homes for the housing developer to serve as the title sponsor of the facility's International Arena. Mattamy Homes joins a group that currently includes the Ottawa Citizen, Scotiabank and Direct Energy as naming rights holders within the facility. The International Arena is the only Olympic-size ice surface at the four-pad Bell Sensplex.

"The Mattamy name is certainly familiar in this region," said Brad Kinnaird, general manager of the Bell Sensplex. "Mattamy's Fairwinds community is a rapidly growing housing development just minutes from the Bell Sensplex. Given their proximity, they make an ideal partner."

In anticipation of Scotiabank Place hosting the 2008 NHL Entry Draft on June 20 and 21, the Mattamy Homes Arena will be the primary ice pad for draft-related events, including the annual top prospects clinic on June 19. The arena's ribbon-cutting ceremony, formally introducing Mattamy as the new title sponsor, will take place prior to the clinic's start time of 2:45 p.m.

Mattamy Homes will also be incorporated into a number of events that take place at the Bell Sensplex, including Ottawa Senators Hockey Programs, four-on-four leagues and more than 50 hockey tournaments that take place at the facility on a yearly basis.
