Bell Sensplex to Host Sens Goalie Camp Instructed by Rick Wamsley

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 21, 2011) - The Bell Sensplex announced today that former National Hockey League net minder and current Senators goalie coach Rick Wamsley will be hosting two goaltending camps this summer, one in July and one in August.

Wamsley brings more than 30 years of professional experience to these instructional sessions, including 407 NHL games with the Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was part of the 1989 Calgary team that won the franchise's only Stanley Cup.

Held exclusively at the Bell Sensplex, each of the week-long camps will include three hours of on-ice training daily with a focus on goalie power skating, rebound control and recovery, fundamentals and routes, stance, angles, butterfly slide, inside edge push and how to efficiently use the blocker, glove and stick. The camps will also include goaltender-specific off-ice training to reinforce on-ice development, including classroom sessions with Wamsley.

The first session of the camp runs from July 18-22, with the second taking place from Aug. 8-12. For more information on the camps, including registration information, please visit
