Bell Sensplex Unveils Lineup for 2012 Senators Summer Hockey Camps

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 2, 2012) - The Bell Sensplex announced today that the facility is now accepting registrations for each of its 29 different summer camps.

Beginning on Monday, July 9, and running for seven consecutive weeks, Ottawa Senators Summer Hockey Camps are designed to provide participants with a fun, hard-working environment in which they will improve their abilities and level of enjoyment in hockey.

Held exclusively at the Bell Sensplex, with the exception of the Aug. 13-17 performance and power skating camp based at the Cavanagh Sensplex, each of the week-long camps will blend high-tempo on-ice drills with fun and valuable off-ice activities to maximize the physical and mental development of each participant. Camps are available to male and female players of all abilities at levels ranging from non-competitive to elite. Position-specific camps are also available, including the return of Senators goaltending coach Rick Wamsley's annual camp.

"This year's camp lineup offers more variety than ever before," said Bell Sensplex programs manager Andy Bryan. "In continuing to combine top-level instruction with all of the amenities at one of the region's best facilities, we look forward to providing a second-to-none summer hockey experience for all of our participants."

Detailed information on each of the available camps can be found here:

The first session of the camp runs from July 9-13, with the last taking place from Aug. 20-24. The majority of last year's camps sold out as more than 1,100 area youth spent some of their summer honing hockey-related skills. Last year's camps featured guest appearances from Mark Borowiecki, Stephane Da Costa, Jesse Winchester and Mika Zibanejad, each of whom has spent time with the Senators this season.
