Belleville Dental Office Adds New TVs for Patient Comfort

BELLEVILLE, IL –--(Marketwired - April 26, 2016) - Why stare at a blank ceiling during your dental visits? Dr. Thomas Feder, a Belleville family dentist, has recently added new flat screen TVs to his comfortable patient operatories.

Dr. Feder has designed his dental office to include comfortable patient amenities. He said patients enjoy being able to relax in the dental chair and watch TV during their dental visits. He added the newest flat screen TV after a 20-year-old tube TV stopped working.

"The new TV has a much better picture and weighs about 50 pounds less than the old one," Dr. Feder said. "The TV is directly above where the doctor sits, and now all seven treatment rooms are back in service with working TVs."

Dr. Feder's Belleville dental practice, at 16 N. Jackson St., has seven dental chairs, digital X-rays and TVs in each room for patient comfort. Each dental operatory includes state-of-the-art dental chairs and dental equipment to give patients minimally invasive and high-quality dental care.

"By adding new equipment and even things for patient comfort, our dental office continues to have a modern and inviting look," Dr. Feder said. "Patients love that they get to watch their favorite television programs during their dental visits. It takes them away from the procedure and helps them relax."

Dr. Feder has been in practice for more than 40 years, providing general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry. He was inspired to become a dentist by his father and great uncle, both of whom were Illinois dentists.

Dr. Feder's office offers cleanings, exams, fillings, teeth whitening, crowns, bridges, root canals, extractions, dentures and dental implant restorations. He uses a revolutionary tool called the Vibraject to give pain-free injections to patients. The Vibraject sends out vibrations to distract the brain from feeling pain in the area of the injection. The vibration also allows for the anesthesia to take effect quickly.

Dr. Feder graduated from the St. Louis University School of Dentistry in 1970. He served three years with the U.S. Public Health Service, two of which he was assigned to the U.S. Coast Guard. He has been in private practice since 1973. Dr. Feder earned his Fellowship recognition from the Academy of General Dentistry in 1982 and was voted one of America's Best Dentists in 2013 by the National Consumer Advisory Board.
