Belmont Resources Inc.: Airborne Magnetic and Radiometric Geophysical Survey Completed in Central Mineral Belt, Labrador

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 15, 2006) - Belmont Resources Inc. ("BEA") (TSX VENTURE:BEA)(FWB:L3L) is pleased to announce the completion of a 444.5 km airborne survey covering claim blocks located in the Central Mineral Belt Uranium District in Labrador. This survey serves to identify information that can be used to map the geology and structure of potential uranium zones. The survey was completed by Fugro Airborne Surveys Corp. of Mississauga, Ontario during September 2006, with survey data compiled and processed at the Fugro offices in Toronto. Belmont is currently in the process of reviewing the survey results, with areas of interest being assigned priorities on the basis of geophysical, geochemical and/or geological information. It is expected that Belmont will have exploration crews on-site to investigate these areas of interest in early 2007.

The Belmont Labrador uranium properties consist of the Stormy Lake claims and the Partridge River claims located in the Central Mineral Belt Uranium District. The Partridge River claim group is located near claims being explored by Universal Uranium Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:UUL), and Silver Spruce Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SSE). The Partridge River Project consists of 23 units covering an area of 5.75 square km, and was the subject of a NI 43-101 technical report completed in August 2006. The Stormy Lake claim group is located near claims being explored by Crosshair Exploration and Mining (TSX VENTURE:CXX) and Bayswater Uranium Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BAY). The Stormy Lake Project consists of 105 units covering an area of 26.25 square km, and was also the subject of a NI 43-101 technical report completed in August 2006.
