1,000 volunteers come together because of the solidarity of the major telecom players

An unprecedented crisis like the one the Haitian people are living through calls for unprecedented measures. In a gesture of ultimate solidarity, the major telecommunications industry players - Bell, Rogers and Videotron - have decided to join forces to help Haiti.

They have been working hand-in-hand for several days already, together with the Desjardins Group, Vox Data, Nordic Attitude Design and Blue Cross, to set up a single telephone exchange to collect donations from Ensemble pour Haiti viewers. Nearly 1,000 advisors from these organizations, along with many artists, will serve as volunteers to answer what is expected to be a massive volume of calls. In order to efficiently manage this impressive number of incoming calls, the different call centres will therefore share their respective infrastructures and a single telephone number will be used for donations.

Ensemble pour Haiti is a collective of artists and artisans from all of Quebec's main media who have decided to pool their talents and strengths to respond to the distress of the Haitian people.
