Benjamins Elected to GROWMARK Board of Directors

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS--(Marketwire - Sept. 9, 2008) - Ed Benjamins of Moorefield, Ont., was elected to serve a second term as director on the GROWMARK board at the regional co-operative's annual meeting in Chicago last Friday.

Benjamins will serve a three-year term to represent Zone F on the board. He currently also serves on the board of directors for Inland Co-operative, Inc., and previously served on the Midwestern Co-operative and Ontario Chicken Producers Marketing boards. He and his wife Gina operate a chicken farm and a 1,000-acre custom work and cash crop family farm.

Five of the association's 16 director seats, established by geographic zone, were elected, and will serve three-year terms. GROWMARK's six established governance zones cover all of North America; there are multiple directors per zone. One at-large director represents Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin Farm Bureaus. GROWMARK is affiliated with Farm Bureau in those states.
