                 Bentley Well Approval Notification


Xcite Energy is pleased to announce that the Department of Energy and
Climate Change has granted its approvals under the Well Operations
Notification System ("WONS"), the Petroleum Operations Notice ("PON
15B") and the Oil Pollution Emergency Planning ("OPEP") for the planned
9/3b-7 and 7Z wells.

This now completes the approvals necessary to drill and produce the
wells in Phase 1A of the Bentley field work programme.
