Bentley's Corner Barkery Changes Its Name to Bentley's Pet Stuff Following Recent Acquisition

Retailer Set to Open Seven Additional Chicagoland Locations in the Next Year

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL--(Marketwired - Feb 10, 2016) - Bentley's Corner Barkery, a family-owned healthy pet foods and wholesome treats retailer founded by Lisa and Giovanni Senafe, announced today that the company will be changing its name to Bentley's Pet Stuff following its recent acquisition of the Chicago-based Pet Stuff retail chain. With the formation of Bentley's Pet Stuff, the new business will have the distinct identity of being the largest independent natural pet supply retailer, and be better positioned to service their respective communities by selling natural food and pet care essentials as well as toys, grooming products and treats for their four-legged friends.

The updated name reflects Bentley's Pet Stuff mission of offering the best natural pet care products, while unveiling a commitment to future growth and expansion. "We selected the new name to better represent our expanding portfolio of natural products," said Lisa Senafe, Co-Owner. "The new Bentley's Pet Stuff name reflects our core focus, while poising our brand in a solid position for the development of locations over the next calendar year and beyond."

Bentley's Pet Stuff currently operates 15 locations with plans to open seven additional locations in the following communities over the next few months:

  • Crystal Lake
  • Bannockburn
  • Elmhurst
  • Evanston
  • Downers Grove
  • Glenview
  • Skokie

The business is also researching additional sites for possible acquisitions.

After partnering with entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis, host of CNBC's reality series The Profit, the company's mission has been to expand their products and services while upholding the commitment to offer healthy pet options. "The Bentley's Pet Stuff brand is not your average pet store. Though we compete with the big box retailers, customers shop with us because of our variety of wholesome pet products at affordable prices with unmatched customer service," remarked Lemonis.

Bentley's Pet Stuff sells dog and cat food with a focus on the three critical elements in caring for pets: to nourish, energize and reward. Specialty pet food brands such as Fromm, Orijen, Zignature, Honest Kitchen and Stella & Chewy's can be obtained from all Bentley's Pet Stuff locations. In addition, seasonal products and holiday gift items are available for purchase throughout the year.
