Acquisition Introduces the Retail Chain Into the Denver Market


LINCOLNSHIRE, IL--(Marketwired - Apr 22, 2016) - Bentley's Pet Stuff, a family-owned, multi-unit healthy pet foods retailer founded by Lisa and Giovanni Senafe, along with entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis, host of CNBC's reality series, The Profit, today announced the acquisition of Natural Pet Marketplace, a multi-location pet products store in the Denver area. Following the recent acquisition, plans are in place to open an additional eight Bentley's Pet Stuff location in the greater Denver area over the next 12 months. The retailer currently operates 15 stores in the Chicagoland area and has two locations under remodeling in the Milwaukee area after recent acquisitions.

Bentley's Pet Stuff will be remodeling and opening at the following Denver area locations in the next few months:

  • 1685 S Colorado Blvd., Denver, CO 80222
  • 2721 Council Tree Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80525

Previous owner, Tim Petersen, opened Natural Pet Marketplace in 2012 with a goal to serve as a one-stop provider of affordably-priced pet foods, pet accessories, wild bird foods and wild bird accessories of excellent quality. Plans are in place for the current staff to transition into the new business to assist with the expansion of the Bentley's Pet Stuff brand.
