BERNINA Introduces the Q 20 Longarm Quilting Machine

Two BERNINA Longarm Stitch Regulators are located on each side of the stitch holes in the BERNINA Q 20 Longarm's needle plate. Equipped with dual optical sensors, the BERNINA Longarm Stitch Regulators allow very precise sensing of the machine and fabric movement, regardless of how simple or complex a quilt pattern may be. This allows for uniform and even stitches. In addition, the new Longarm machine features a one-of-a-kind electronically controlled tension system and the home industry's only presser foot tension release for threading ease. The tension system features numeric settings that make it simple to adjust the thread tension and track a variety of thread types and combinations. The thread stand is also positioned forward to make it easy to reach. 

The BERNINA Q 20 Longarm is also equipped with an intuitive color touchscreen interface that is simple to navigate, customizable, and includes useful functions like a stitch counter and a built-in tutorial. Other features include a built-in needle threader, an M Class Rotary Hook, and an integrated bobbin winder. The BERNINA Q 20 Longarm is also compatible with domestic machine needles for error-free installation, specialty needles, or twin needles with the optional twin-needle stitch plate. 

The BERNINA Q 20 Longarm is available as a table model, with an exclusive BERNINA table designed to handle the machine's speed and weight for optimal performance. The table measures 36-by-45 inches and can be lengthened to 36-by-77 inches. The height is about 30 inches and adjustable, as well. The desk also offers generous storage space. Additionally, the BERNINA Q 20 Longarm table model is equipped with a programmable foot control for securing stitches, or operating the needle up/down or presser foot up/down.

The BERNINA Q 20 Longarm is also compatible with the BERNINA Quilt Frame. The frame is nearly 12 feet long and 4 feet wide, with a height of up to 47 inches that can be adjusted during setup to the height of the quilter. The frame is large enough to create a 108-inch quilt and features a sturdy single-rail system that is ideal for all quilting needs. Users will also appreciate the frame model's ergonomic, programmable handles, which place the most frequently used functions at the fingertips and can be adjusted into a comfortable position for stitching edge-to-edge, micro-stippling, or creating custom designs.
