BERNINA Launches New Consumer Web Site

AURORA, IL--(Marketwire - Aug 6, 2012) - BERNINA of America, the premier manufacturer of sewing, embroidery and quilting machines, is pleased to announce the launch of its new consumer Web site, www.bernina.com. The Web site features interactive displays and mixed-media content with comprehensive information on the full line of BERNINA machines, accessories and software. The Web site also includes tips, project ideas and tutorials, all organized around the consumers' particular interests.

The redesigned Product section features an easy navigation structure that allows the consumer to find the exact machine, accessory or software they need, whether their specialty is sewing, embroidery or quilting. Once an item has been selected, the consumer will be directed to a colorful profile page that includes video, pictures, and text with detailed information about the product. When selecting a machine, the profile page will indicate which accessories are standard and which are optional for that particular model, making it easier on the consumer to locate those items on the Web site. Consumers can also use the Machine Finder to identify the machine best suited for their needs. Additionally, based on a consumer's search query, several "Related Topics" will appear at the bottom of the screen, making it easy to jump to other products. 

There are also several new sections on the Web site, including the Experience and What's New tabs. The Experience section features sewing, embroidery and quilting projects and tutorials. With each project, an "Ingredient" list appears which includes all the supplies needed to complete the project. This section also features profiles of textile artists and designers who use BERNINA products. Additionally, consumers will find the latest issue of BERNINA's free Through the Needle magazine in the Experience section. The What's New section provides consumers with up-to-date information about new content posted to the Web site. Consumers can easily locate new products, upcoming events and classes, promotions and webinars. 

Additionally, the Web site allows consumers to get support related to a specific BERNINA machine or software and features an FAQ section for easy reference on questions related to anything from machine upkeep to capabilities. Consumers can also use the Web site's convenient Store Locator to find their nearest BERNINA Dealer.
