Berry Children Fundraiser Event This Friday at Tasti D-Lite Houston Locations

Tasti D-Lite's Houston Dessert Shops Donating All Proceeds July 22, Additional Donors to Match Funds Raised

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Jul 18, 2011) - After hearing of the tragic July 2nd auto accident in West Texas that orphaned and seriously injured three Houston children, Tasti D-Lite franchise owner Aaron Webster, like many Houstonians, felt the strong need to help. Plans for a fundraising event began.

Set for Friday, July 22, a Fundraiser for the Berry Children will be held at all three of their locations including Highland Village, Downtown and the Galleria. Webster will donate 100% of Friday's proceeds from the three frozen dessert shops to the Joshua and Robin Berry Children's Trust.

Additionally, generous donors have offered to match sales. Thanks to the real estate management co. and others, every $1 you spend will result in a $3 donation to the Joshua and Robin Berry Children's Trust. A donation box will also be on site.

"By hosting a fundraising event, we can offer the Berry children more," said Webster. "We deeply appreciate the matching donations and encourage Houstonians to come by one of our three Tasti locations and give support for the Berry children."

The children's parents, Robin and Joshua Berry, were killed in a head-on collision when an automobile veered into their lane as they traveled home to Houston. Two of the children, 9-year-old Peter and 8-year-old Aaron, suffered spinal injuries and are paralyzed from the waist down. The third child, 6-year-old Willa, is recovering from a broken arm and leg. The children are now under the legal guardianship of their aunt and uncle.

Houstonians wanting to provide support can find additional information and help spread the word by visiting Tasti D-Lite's Berry Children Fundraiser Facebook event page.
