The Best Professional Beach Volleyball Players From Canada and the United States Play in the So Pro Sports Annual Beach Volleyball Tournament

Instead of making a trip to Beijing to enjoy amazing beach volleyball, head to Ashbridges Bay on August 16th and 17th!

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 14, 2008) - Canada's beach volleyball teams did not manage to qualify for the summer games in Beijing. This, however, does not mean that they have stopped playing. This weekend, on August 16th and 17th, the Canadian So Pro Beach Volleyball tour will be making a stop at Ashbridges Beach to play in their annual beach volleyball tournament. This tournament includes some of the best professional beach volleyball players Canada and the United States have to offer. Instead of making a trip to Beijing to enjoy amazing beach volleyball, head to Ashbridges Bay on August 16th and 17th!

On the women's side, look for Kara Zakrzewski and Dana Cooke. Both of these players actively compete for Canada at the international level. On the men's side, check out Mark Gatto and Adrian Weglo. These two are the Ontario champions and they are looking to continue their winning ways on the So Pro Tour. To do this, they need to get by Conrad Leinemann and Josh Binstock. Both Conrad and Josh also compete for Canada on an international level and fell just short of qualifying to play in Beijing. Conrad is also known for having the fastest serve in the world in 2005; being clocked at 104.4 km/hour. With many of the top ranked players in the nation ready to compete, the So Pro Tour promises to display some of the best quality beach volleyball available.

The So Pro Beach Volleyball Tour is one branch of Not So Pro Sports, a sports and social events company located in the Beach area. Anyone who makes their way to watch the So Pro players on August 16th and 17th will also be able to watch the Not So Pro Beach Tour in progress at the same time. With over 170 teams playing at all different skill levels, this tour stop is looking to be a great time. Included in the Not So Pro Beach Tour is a huge beer tent, a number of great sponsors with free giveaways, and lots of music and prizes.

Toronto is the second last of the Not So Pro Beach Tour stops. The Tour has already been to Wasaga and Grand Bend and will next stop in Niagara on September 19th-21st. There is also a 2's tournament located at Ashbridges Bay during the weekend of September 13th and 14th. Everyone is welcome to come and watch some great volleyball.
